ITV sells stake in MUTV

ITV PLC 16 November 2007 November 16 2007 For immediate release ITV SELLS STAKE IN MUTV TO MANCHESTER UNITED ITV plc today announced it has sold its one-third share in Manchester United Television (MUTV) to Manchester United for a cash consideration of £3.3m. Manchester United now owns two thirds of the company, with the remaining third owned by BSkyB. Tom Betts, Commercial and Acquisitions Director at ITV, said: 'This is another step in ITV's ongoing non-core asset disposal programme, which has seen us successfully raise over £500 million since the merger in 2004.
