RNS REACH - Marketing Update

ITM Power (AIM:ITM), the energy storage and clean fuel company, is pleased to provide an update regarding its product range and forthcoming events.

Product Range:

ITM Power's product range has been expanded and refined over the past twelve months to meet the demands of various target market sectors. The new product range will be launched at the Hannover Messe, commencing on 23 April 2012. The product range has been enhanced with the addition of further HFuel variants, a larger HPac model capable of generating 40 litres of hydrogen per minute and a suite of new electrolyser stacks for operation at a range of elevated pressures.  ITM Power's larger 25kg/day 80 bar stack module which forms the basis of the Company's 1MW (Megawatt) electrolyser plant, will also be on display. ITM Power will also be showcasing its new stack platforms produced for Ford and Jaguar Land Rover as part of the Technology Strategy Board (TSB) funded CREO project.

ITM Power's small electrolyser range may be purchased by contacting Horizon Fuel Cells Technologies who have a large network of agents in 35 countries worldwide.

ITM Power's 80 bar self pressurising electrolysers and 1MW generation module are aimed at energy storage by the direct injection of hydrogen generated from renewable power into the mains gas grid. The Company recently announced that it has been awarded a feasibility study grant by the TSB partnered by Kiwa Gastec at CRE and the Scottish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association for investigation of the technical, commercial and compliance topics central to this application.

ITM Power will be in Hall 27 on Stand B60 at the Hannover Messe from the 23-27 April 2012.

HFuel at Hannover:

For the first time, ITM Power will be demonstrating its HFuel on-site hydrogen generation, storage and dispensing module in the "Ride and Drive" area of the Hannover Messe, available for refueling one of the fuel cell buses to be demonstrated at the fair. HFuel's key market sector is return to base fleets of light commercial vehicles.

Fuel Cells for Materials Handling Vehicles

The Company recently completed a trial with Marks & Spencer plc where HFuel was used to generate and supply hydrogen to fuel cell powered materials handling vehicles (MHV) at their distribution centre in Bradford. The equipment was very well received and demonstrated multiple operational benefits including a significant increase in the efficiency of the MHV when using hydrogen fuel compared to rechargeable battery packs. HFuel provided 100% availability of fuel throughout the trial. ITM Power is currently assisting with compliance work for the MHV fuel cells used in the trial that will then be available for distribution throughout Europe.
