New Contract

ITIS Holdings PLC 01 July 2002 1 July 2002 ITIS ANNOUNCE NEW CONTRACT WITH EDDIE STOBART ITIS Holdings plc, the AIM listed telematics company, today announces a new contract with Eddie Stobart Ltd., the leading haulage and logistics company, worth up to £260,000 per year over the next 5 years. Under the terms of the contract, Eddie Stobart has agreed to subscribe to NavTrak, ITIS' market leading stolen vehicle tracking service. This contract follows the agreement in September 2001, to install ITIS' GPS/GSM tracking devices to the Eddie Stobart fleet, in order to allow ITIS to collect real time and historic traffic information, a technique known as Floating Vehicle Data (FVD). Currently ITIS supplies this traffic information to vehicle manufacturers, including Toyota and BMW, and has recently announced a long term contract with the Automobile Association to supply FVD to their AA Roadwatch traffic information service. In addition to the contract to subscribe to NavTrak, Eddie Stobart has also agreed to take Minorplanet's fleet management system VMI, on 200 trucks, rolling out to the majority of the UK fleet over the next year. ITIS has the rights to sell Minorplanet's fleet management system, VMI, to fleets over 100 vehicles to whom ITIS had fitted boxes for collecting FVD. VMI is the world leader in fleet management with nearly 5000 customers worldwide using the system to save money and increase efficiency Stuart Marks Chief Executive of ITIS Holdings said 'I am delighted to announce this contract which builds on our existing relationship and ensures that Eddie Stobart can maximise the technology that is fitted to their vehicles. NavTrak's stolen vehicle tracking service will safeguard their fleet round the clock in the event of theft or hijack whilst VMI will provide a range of services which will provide significant cost savings. Eddie Stobart will be the single largest fleet covered by NavTrak and is proof that companies, especially when self insured, are keen to protect their assets and their drivers.' Martin Stewart Group Finance Director of Eddie Stobart said 'Following the recent hijacking of one of our vehicles we were impressed by the way ITIS were able to track the vehicle and liaise with the police which led to the recovery of stolen goods and three arrests. At that time, our fleet was not covered by NavTrak's stolen vehicle service but we have moved quickly to ensure that we can now take advantage of it.' 'We were also impressed by the trial that we did using Minorplanet's VMI and are confident that as we roll VMI out across our fleet, it will become integral to the way our business is managed and we are confident the savings to our business will be considerable.'
