The Company was notified on 13 August 2007 by Smedvig Capital AS ('Smedvig'),
that following the purchase of 930,000 ordinary shares of 2p each in the
Company, Smedvig now holds 14,550,212 such ordinary shares, representing
approximately 14.46 percent of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.

John Hewett, a non-executive director of the Company, is the Board
representative of Smedvig Capital AS.
