Mercury Recycling Group plc announces that it was today informed that The
Blueberry Charitable Trust sold a total of 735,714 shares in the Company on 8
and 9 May 2002.  The Blueberry Charitable Trust is now interested in 690,287
shares in the Company.



The Company also announces it was today informed that City Equities Limited sold
659,500 shares in the Company, to certain of their private clients, on 9 May
2002.  City Equities Limited is now interested in 217,500 shares in the Company
and therefore no longer has a notifiable interest.
