Mercury Recycling Group PLC announces that was informed on Friday 15 February
2002 that Simon Lebor, Chief Executive, purchased 250,000 shares in the Company
at a price of 5.75 pence per share on that date.



As a result, Mr Lebor is interested in 4,131,901 ordinary shares in the Company,
representing approximately 14.96 per cent. of the entire issued ordinary share
capital.
