I•RES recognised as European Leader in Gender Equality

I•RES awarded Best Practice Leader in the European Women on Boards Gender Equality Index

Irish Residential Properties REIT plc ("I•RES" or the "Company") is pleased to announce it has been recognised as a Best Practice Leader in the European Women on Boards ("EWOB") Gender Equality Index.

EWOB is a non-profit organization aiming to promote gender equality in corporate leadership. The EWOB report included the European STOXX 600 companies' executive and decision-making bodies. It was conducted with the financial support of the European Commission's Rights, Equality and Citizenship programme.

The report concluded that overall women's participation in corporate leadership in European companies remains low. 84 companies out of 668 have been recognised as leaders in gender equality.

As a best practice leader, EWOB concluded that I•RES has demonstrated gender equality at the highest decision level. The award was announced yesterday at an online ceremony with a keynote speech from Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission.

Declan Moylan, the Company's Chairman commented:

"This award is recognition of the Board's commitment to ensuring appropriate gender diversity at all levels across the business. Ensuring we have a diverse and inclusive team improves the quality of our decision making and is essential for the sustainability of our business. We are delighted to have been recognised alongside our European peers today".

Margaret Sweeney, the Company's Chief Executive Officer added:

"I am extremely proud that I•RES has been recognised by European Women on Boards for our commitment to gender diversity and inclusivity across our business. As one of only two Irish companies recognised in the top 84 for leadership in gender equality, this is an important moment for us. We must all continue to strive to ensure equality of opportunity across the business community and wider society".
