Directorate Changes

The Board of Irish Continental Group plc is pleased to announce the co-option to the Board of John Sheehan as a non-executive Director. The appointment is effective from 25 October 2013.

John holds a senior position with Ardagh Group, a leading operator in the global glass and metal packaging sector with operations principally in Europe and North America. John has over 20 years of experience at management level with exposure to international acquisition and development projects. He was formerly Head of Equity Sales at NCB Stockbrokers, now part of Investec Bank, where he spent thirteen years in a range of roles and directly covered various industry sectors including transport and aviation. John qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

There are no disclosures required under Listing Rule 6.6.7 relating to this appointment.

Separately the Board announces that Bernard Somers, having served over 9 years as a non-executive Director, has retired as a Director of the Company also with effect from 25 October 2013.

The Board would like to thank Bernard for his valued input over the past 9 years which has contributed greatly to the development of the Group. The Board wishes Bernard well for the future.
