IQGeo's Raf Meersman elected President of FTTH Council Board

(AIM: IQG), a developer of geospatial software that is "Building better networks" for telecom and utility operators, today announced that Raf Meersman, Senior Vice President at IQGeo, has been elected President of the Board of Directors at the FTTH Council. As Europe's leading fibre broadband industry organization, the FTTH Council mission is to accelerate ubiquitous full fibre broadband connectivity to empower the digital society of the future.

In this high-profile voluntary role, Raf will work with the other FTTH Council Board members and Working Groups to support and educate the industry on fibre technologies and contribute to relevant legislative initiatives across Europe. Over the years, Raf and the IQGeo team have actively contributed to the Council's activities focused on developing best practice to accelerate and optimize fibre rollout.
