         Result of Extraordinary General Meeting

The  Board  of  IQE  Plc ('the Company')  is  pleased  to
announce that at the Extraordinary General Meeting of the
Company,  held  today, the Ordinary Resolution  was  duly
passed.

Dealings  in  the sub-divided shares of the Company  will
commence  at  8.00am  on Monday 11th  September  on  both
EASDAQ and the London Official List.
