of shares on  23 March 2009,  AXA S.A. had  decreased their  indirect
interest over  ordinary 1  pence  shares in  IQE from  43,550,000  to
42,550,000, being 9.81% of the issued share capital of the Company.

The total  number  of  the  Company's ordinary  shares  in  issue  is
433,556,931.
