                               Additional Listing





Application has today been made to the London Stock Exchange for 10,000 ordinary
shares of 1p each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') to be admitted to trading
on AIM. The Ordinary Shares are being issued pursuant to the exercise of share
options by employees under the IQE Group Share Option Scheme. The Ordinary
Shares are issued at a price of 13.75p per share.





Admission of these Ordinary Shares is expected to become effective on 
5 October 2007.



Following this issue the total number of Ordinary Shares in issue is
430,840,211.
