                              Additional Listing

Application has today been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London
Stock Exchange for 388,540 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company
('Ordinary Shares') to be admitted to the Official List. The Ordinary Shares
are being issued to employees pursuant to the exercise of options under the
Company's Employee Share Option Scheme and the IQE Employee Benefit Trust.
Admission is expected to become effective on 30 November 2001.
