IP Group plc - Appointment of Jonathan Brooks as NED; retirement of NED Roger Brooke

 

IP Group plc (LSE: IPO) ("IP Group" or "the Group" or "the Company"), the developer of intellectual property based businesses, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Brooks, the former Chief Financial Officer of ARM Holdings plc, to the Board as Non-executive Director and as Chairman of the Group's audit committee with immediate effect.

 

In addition, Roger Brooke, who has been a director of IP Group for nearly ten years, is retiring from his position of Non-executive Director. Mr Brooke became a director of IP Group in December 2001.

Mr Brooks (55) was the Chief Financial Officer of ARM Holdings plc ("ARM") from 1995 until 2002 where he was responsible for finance, investor relations, legal and IT, and where he managed the dual-listed IPO process of ARM on the London Stock Exchange and Nasdaq in 1998.

 

He is currently a non-executive director of two publicly quoted companies - Aveva Group Plc, a provider of engineering data and design IT systems, and Nasdaq-listed Xyratex Ltd, a provider of data storage systems.

 

Within the last five years, Mr Brooks has been a director of the following publicly quoted companies:

 

Current

·    Aveva Group plc, appointed Non-executive Director in July 2007.

·    Xyratex Ltd, appointed Non-executive Director in May 2004.

Past

·    e2v technologies plc, Non-executive Director from 2004 until 2011.

·    Glotel plc, Finance Director from 2005 until 2007.

IP Group confirms that there is no additional information which is required to be disclosed under Rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
