All customers will receive anti-virus and anti-spyware as standard and will be able to upgrade to full firewall and parental controls, including Instant messaging and peer to peer control, web blocking and time controls for a small monthly fee. MTA has annual revenue of approximately US$80 million and currently has 45,000 customers. An MTA spokesman said, 'We selected Netintelligence because they offered a very simple to use product that covered off all the right security and internet safety bases, whilst reducing support costs by increasing the number of protected customers on our network. There is no doubt in our minds that the Netintelligence solution is the only surefire way to do this right.' Angus MacSween, chief executive of iomart commented 'This is the first 'bundling' contract with an ISP, where the Netintelligence product is delivered as part of the basic internet service, guaranteeing usage and revenues. Negotiations are ongoing with a number of other national and international organisations for similar deals. 'Recent wins for the new hosted Netintelligence services through other channels include Royal Mint, Companies House, William Grant and Bett Homes. 'The increasing acceptance of the Netintelligence web based end point approach to security is encouraging, with a growing number of pilots and evaluations underway.'
