                    EXTENSION OF FINANCIAL REPORTING PERIOD


iomart plc today announced that it is extending its financial reporting period
from 31 December 2001 to 31 March 2002.


The reasons for this are to allow the company to complete arrangements following
the sale of its broadband business to Centrica Plc as announced on 9 January
2002 and to implement the restructuring of the company to focus on the
development of its NetIntelligence product portfolio.


The company will announce interim results for the period from 1 July 2001 to 31
December 2001 in late February and provisional final results for the period from
1 January 2001 to 31 March 2002 in May.
