the Official List of the London Stock Exchange

THE INVESTMENT COMPANY PLC

At the request of the company trading on the Official List of the London Stock Exchange for the under-mentioned securities has been temporarily suspended from 1 August 2008 at 07.30hrs pending publication of the company's annual audited report and accounts expected to be posted by 10 August 2008 together with a Notice of the Annual General Meeting to be held on 3 September 2008.
