The management of Investec will host a pre-close briefing on Monday, 14 March
2005 commencing at 09:00 (UK time) / 11:00 (South African time). A presentation
will be given, focusing on developments within the core business areas and the
group since Investec's interim results.


All interested parties may attend the presentation at Investec's London,
Johannesburg or Cape Town offices. Furthermore, for those people who are unable
to attend the briefing, the following options will be available:
