RESULTS OF THE OFFER FOR INVESTEC PLC Rand denominated non-redeemable, non-cumulative, non-participating perpetual preference shares (the "Rand perpetual preference shares")

 

As part of the dual listed company structure, Investec plc notifies both the London Stock Exchange and the JSE Limited of matters which are required to be disclosed under the Listing Rules and Disclosure and Transparency Rules of the United Kingdom Listing Authority (the "UKLA") and/or the JSE Listing Requirements.

 

Accordingly we advise of the following announcement released in accordance with the JSE Listings Requirements:

 

Following the announcement on 15 June 2011, Investec plc is pleased to announce the subscription of 1,859,900 Rand denominated non-redeemable, non-cumulative, non-participating Investec plc perpetual preference shares ("Rand perpetual preference shares"), equivalent to ZAR185 990 000. All applicants will receive their requested allocations in full, at a price of ZAR100 each. Following the allocation, the total number of Rand perpetual preference shares in issue will be 1,859,900. 

 

Rand perpetual preference shares will be allocated and issued to subscribers who applied for dematerialised shares on Wednesday, 29 June 2011, against receipt of payment from their CSDPs.  The listing of the Rand perpetual preference shares will be on the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa under the abbreviated short name "INVPREFR" in the "Debt Securities" - Preference Share sector and will commence trading on Wednesday, 29 June 2011.
