As part of the dual listed company structure, Investec plc and Investec Limited ("Investec") notify both the London Stock Exchange and the JSE Limited of matters which are required to be disclosed under the Disclosure, Transparency and Listing Rules of the United Kingdom Listing Authority (the "UKLA") and/or the JSE Listing Requirements.

Investec received notification of the following interests in shares on 30 August 2012:

NOTIFICATION OF INTERESTS IN INVESTEC LIMITED'S NON-REDEEMABLE, NON-CUMULATIVE, NON PARTICIPATING PREFERENCE SHARES ("perpetual preference shares")

In accordance with Section 3.83(b) of the JSE Listings Requirements, Investec Limited hereby confirms that it has received a notice in terms of Section 122 of the Companies Act, No. 71 of 2008.

Coronation Asset Management Proprietary Limited has informed Investec Limited that they have acquired a further 0.3% beneficial interest in Investec Limited's perpetual preference shares. Coronation Asset Management Proprietary Limited now holds 15.18% of the issued perpetual preference shares in the share capital of Investec Limited.
