that Fintique III BVI Limited ('Fintique'), an Investec leveraged equity plan,
disposed of 107,573 Investec plc ordinary shares of £0.001 each ('Ordinary
Shares'), being 0.15% of the issued Ordinary Shares of the Company on 3rd 
February 2005.

The total holdings of Fintique prior to the notification are laid out below:
