Amended dividend procedure

A maiden interim dividend (No. 1) of 26 pence per ordinary share has been
declared in respect of the six months ended 30 September 2002.

The shares will commence trading ex dividend on Monday 9 December 2002 on the
JSE Securities Exchange South Africa and on Wednesday 11 December 2002 on the
London Stock Exchange. The record date will be Friday 13 December 2002 and
payment will be made on Tuesday 24 December 2002.

Share certificates on the South African branch register may not be
dematerialised or rematerialised between Monday 9 December 2002 and Friday 13
December 2002, both dates inclusive, nor may shares be transferred between the
SA and UK registers between Monday 9 December 2002 and Friday 13 December 2002,
both dates inclusive.
