Intertek Group PLC 30 March 2006 30 March 2006, 7am (UK) Intertek Group plc ('Intertek') INTERTEK ANNOUNCES NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Intertek Group plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Christopher Knight as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 30 March 2006. Chris Knight was an investment banker for nearly thirty years, for much of that time with Morgan Grenfell and, after its takeover, with Deutsche Bank, of which he was a managing director until 2001. He has wide ranging corporate finance experience, both in the UK and internationally, having worked in the USA and the Far East at various times in his career. A Chartered Accountant, he is Chairman of Brooks Macdonald Group plc and Nelson Bakewell Group Limited and a Non-Executive Director of Lloyds Register Holdings. He was also a director of Anker plc until August 2005. Under the UK Listing Rules, the Company is required to make the following disclosure: There are no further details that are required to be disclosed as required under paragraph LR 9.6.13 R of the UK Listing Rules in respect of Christopher Knight.
