Directorate Change: Appointment of Non-Executive Director & Committee Change

 

Intertek Group plc (Intertek), the leading provider of quality services to a wide range of industries around the world, announces the appointment of Gill Rider as a Non-Executive Director of Intertek with effect from 1 July 2015.

 

Gill Rider currently holds non-executive directorships with Pennon Group Plc, where she chairs the Sustainability Committee, and with Charles Taylor plc and De La Rue plc where she is also Chairman of their Remuneration Committees. Gill is the Senior Independent Director at Charles Taylor.

 

From 2006 to 2011 Gill was head of the Civil Service Capability Group in the UK Cabinet Office reporting to the Cabinet Secretary. Prior to this Gill spent 27 years with Accenture where she held a number of senior positions, culminating in the post of Chief Leadership Officer for the global firm.

 

Upon joining the Board, Gill Rider will Chair Intertek's Remuneration Committee, replacing Mark Williams the interim chairperson following Chris Knight's retirement as chairperson in May 2015. Mark will remain a member of the Remuneration Committee.  

 

From 1 July current Non-Executive director Alan Brown will join the Audit & Risk Committee and leave the Remuneration Committee. 

 

Under paragraph LR 9.6.13 R of the UK Listing Rules, the Company is not required to make any further disclosures in respect of Gill Rider.
