Intertek Testing Services plc - Additional Listing

Application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange for an aggregate block listing of 1,250,000 ordinary shares of 1p each
to be admitted to the Official List and to be admitted to trading respectively
upon allotment. The shares will rank pari passu with the existing issued
ordinary shares of the Company.

This application is made in respect of 1,000,000 ordinary shares in connection
with the 2002 Unapproved Share Option Plan and 250,000 shares in respect of the
2002 Approved Share Option Plan.
