IDEAL SHOPPING DIRECT PLC ('the Company')



A fire broke out on the evening of 6 March 2001 which has substantially

destroyed the Company's TV Studios and warehouse premises from

which the Company trades.  Trading in the Company's shares has been

suspended.  Further announcements will be made in due course.
