Dividend Declaration

The IBM Board of Directors today declared a regular quarterly cash dividend 
of $.13 per common share, payable March 10, 2001 to stockholders of record 
February 9, 2001.  IBM stock will be traded ex-dividend on the New York Stock
Exchange starting February 7, 2001.

IBM also announced that its next annual meeting will be held April 24, 2001
at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center in Savannah,
Georgia, for stockholders of record as of March 1, 2001.
