Transaction in own shares

The following amendment has been made to the 'Transaction in own shares' announcement released on Wednesday, 16 April 2014 at 17:52 under RNS Number 0256F.

The percentage of issued share capital of the transaction was incorrectly disclosed as 0.45% when it should have been detailed as 0.045%.

All other details remain unchanged.

The Company announces that, on 16 April 2014, it made a market purchase of 25,000 of its own Ordinary shares of 25p each, representing 0.045% of the issued share capital.  The shares were bought at 253p per share and the Company intends to hold these shares in treasury.  These shares will only be re-issued at discounts which are less than the discounts at which the shares were bought.

Following this purchase, there are 55,132,663 Ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) and 625,000 Ordinary shares held in treasury.
