                           VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL


In accordance with DTR 5.6.1R of the Disclosure and Transparency Rules 
(the 'Rules'), International Biotechnology Trust plc (the 'Company') notifies 
that, as at 28 February 2007, the Company's total voting rights are as follows:

The total number of voting rights in the Company is therefore 71,842,900.

The above figure of 71,842,900 may be used by shareholders as the denominator
for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company's total voting
rights under the Rules.
