Portfolio Update

The Board of International Biotechnology Trust plc (the "Company") notes the following change to the value of the unquoted portfolio company Cadent Holdings.

Cadent Holdings is now valued on an EBITDA basis, following a sustained period of profitability.  This valuation change will be incorporated into the net asset value ("NAV") of the Company from today and reflected in the Company's NAV announcements with effect from tomorrow, 25 August 2010.  This increases the NAV by £1.0m, representing 1.7 pence per share.
