                            2006 INTERIM REPORT AND
                            CIRCULAR TO SHAREHOLDERS


International Biotechnology Trust plc has submitted to the UK Listing Authority
its Interim Report for the six months ended 28 February 2006 together with a
Circular to shareholders convening an Extraordinary General Meeting for Friday,
23 June 2006 at 12 noon to consider buy-back, allotment and treasury share
authorities and the adoption of new Articles of Association.
