Appointment of Director
International Biotechnology Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr John Aston OBE to the Board of the Company as a non-executive Director, with effect from 23 February 2011. Mr Aston will also be appointed to the Audit, Nomination and Management Engagement Committees.
John is currently a non-executive Director at Polar Capital Global Healthcare Growth and Income Trust plc and Regenerative Medicine Assets Ltd. John was chief financial officer at Astex Therapeutics between January 2007 and May 2010. Before joining Astex, John was chief financial officer of Cambridge Antibody Technology for ten years. Prior to this, John was a director in investment banking with Schroders and previously worked with British Technology Group and Price Waterhouse.
John is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has a degree in Mathematics from Cambridge University.
There are no further details that are required to be disclosed in respect of this appointment under LR 9.6.13 of the UK Listing Authority's Listing Rules. As at today's date, John had no beneficial interest in the shares of the Company.
