Board Change

Intermediate Capital Group PLC 24 January 2005 ICG announces the retirement of Tom Bartlam and gives an update on the current year's trading Monday, 24th January, 2005 Intermediate Capital Group PLC ('ICG') announces that Tom Bartlam, a Founder and Managing Director of ICG, will retire in April, subsequent to the announcement of ICG's results for the year ending 31 January 2005. He will remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Director. ICG expects to be able to report good results for its current financial year, with further growth in core income and the loan portfolio together with strong capital gains. The results are due to be announced in early April. John Manser, the Chairman of ICG says: 'Tom Bartlam has been at the heart of building ICG from its start-up in 1989 into the large and international business it is today. Under the guidance of Tom and his partners ICG has delivered compound growth in earnings per share of more than 10% per annum since its flotation over ten years ago with core income growing by over 10% in every year during that period, which Tom would probably describe as a 'satisfactory' achievement. Tom retires with our best wishes, leaving ICG in robust shape with a strong and experienced management team, comprising Tom Attwood and his fellow Executive Directors, which I am confident is capable of maintaining the excellent record of growth.'
