Updates to ScanTrainer Professional 2016 version

New 'Emergency in Life Support' and 'Nuchal Translucency' modules for ScanTrainer

Upgraded 2016 Edition software now available for the award-winning ultrasound training simulator

MedaPhor Group plc (AIM: MED) ('MedaPhor'), the global provider of advanced ultrasound skills training simulators for medical professionals, today announces that it has made some significant updates to its 2016 version of ScanTrainer Professional, the award-winning ultrasound skills training simulator. Echo in Life Support (ELS) has been added to ScanTrainer's Emergency Medicine Package, the core skills obstetrics curriculum has been revised and an additional 75 patient cases increase the range of clinical pathologies available to Cloud Case Library customers.

The new Core Skills Echo in Life Support module extends ScanTrainer's Emergency Medicine package.  It includes assessment of the pleura, ventricles and blood volume status together with examples of additional heart conditions such as pericardial effusion.

The revised Core Skills Obstetrics curriculum now includes Nuchal Translucency (NT), examination of a corpus luteal cyst during pregnancy, and placental examination. The scan has been updated with clearer images and now includes Doppler.

Cloud Case Library customers now have access to an additional 75 cases such as dichorionic, diamniotic twins, a uterus with fibroids and adenomyosis and liver metastases.

Nicholas Sleep, Chief Technology Officer, at MedaPhor, comments:

"MedaPhor is a company that listens and responds to customer feedback and these new updates are testament to that. Since the launch of ScanTrainer Professional 2016 version back in January we have been working closely with customers to make these enhancements to the system and ensure that we're continuing to provide customers with the best ultrasound teaching solution on the market."

The upgrade is available free of charge to all existing 2016 Edition customers and as a chargeable 2016 Edition upgrade to all other ScanTrainer customers.
