Notice of Patent Infringement Proceedings

MedaPhor Group plc (AIM: MED), the global provider of advanced ultrasound training simulators for medical professionals, has been informed that a federal complaint for patent infringement has been filed in the United States District Court for the Central District of California against the Group. The complaint covers one patent held by the claimant and relates to the Company's ultrasound training systems, including the ScanTutor. The Company has also been asked by the claimant to withdraw various patent applications MedaPhor has made. The complaint has been lodged by a competitor, Sonosim Inc.

Following an initial review, the Directors believe that the complaint is without merit and the Company will vigorously defend its position.  Further, the Company does not intend to withdraw its patent applications.

The Company will update the market in respect of further developments, as appropriate.
