MedaPhor enhances ScanTrainer for Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Cardiff, UK; 13^th July 2015: MedaPhor Group plc (AIM: MED) ('MedaPhor'), the global provider of advanced ultrasound skills training simulators for medical professionals, today announces that it has enhanced its ScanTrainer product portfolio for Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OBGYN) customers. Enhancements include the availability of new eFAST and Ovarian Masses modules and the addition of in-depth learning resources across the entire OBGYN product portfolio.

The new Ovarian Masses modules include an Advanced Skills module and the first Super Assessment module for obstetrics and gynaecology customers. Super Assessment modules replicate the experience of examining and diagnosing in a real-life clinical environment by offering 10 randomly presented patient cases for examination and diagnosis.

The new eFAST modules will cater for a range of ultrasound skills levels, with Core Skills, Advanced Skills and Super Assessment modules designed to teach vital ultrasound scanning skills to medical practitioners working within Emergency Medicine units.
