Re Contract

KLEENAIR TO WORK WITH WESTWAY COACHES ON LEZ EMISSIONS UPGRADE London, May 24th ( KSIP) Following approval on May 11th of the London Low Emission Zone (LEZ) by Mayor Ken Livingstone, KleenAir Systems International plc ("KleenAir"), a leading provider of vehicle emissions management solutions, today announces the signing of its first contract for emission reduction systems, with Westway Coaches, with an order value of £8k on two coaches. Westway expects to upgrade its fleet of more than 30 vehicles over the next 6 months so that it will be one of the first coach companies in London to have a fully LEZ compliant fleet. The LEZ programme requires coaches and heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to meet these Euro III standards if they come within the LEZ, which covers the 33 London boroughs. There will be punitive fines of £200 per day for each violation, which rises to £1,000 if payment is late. David West, Managing Director of Westway Coaches, said: "Coaches represent a very substantial investment and are expensive to replace. It is far more cost effective for us to upgrade by installing KleenAir's emission reduction systems, which will make pre-Euro and Euro I (as well as Euro II) coaches) LEZ compliant; and we look forward to working with them on this programme." Lionel Simons, Chairman of KleenAir, said: "We are really pleased to work with Westway Coaches as a demonstration of the ability of our technology to assist transportation companies to cost effectively meet the new LEZ requirements." KleenAir is a global provider of customised, cost-effective emissions reduction solutions for diesel vehicles. By significantly reducing the harmful level of vehicle pollutants, KleenAir's innovative environmental management technology is helping to create a greener, safer and healthier world.
