IHC Announces Senior Management Appointments at the Operating Company Level


Company Enhances Operations Team with Experienced Hospitality Executives


India Hospitality Corp. ("IHC" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that its operating companies have appointed Sanjiv Mediratta as Executive Vice President, Supply Chain Management and Chief Innovation Officer for its airline catering division and Mr. Basav Mukherjee as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Development for its hotel division


Sanjiv Mediratta 


Mr. Mediratta is a hospitality industry veteran with over 32 years of experience in Quick Service Restaurants having held senior level positions in the fields of menu engineeringquality assurance and supply chain operations. Prior to his role at IHC, Mr Mediratta was President of Strategy and Innovation at Moods Hospitality-, which owns popular restaurant brands in India including Yo! China and Yo! Dimsum. He played an instrumental role in re-structuring and re-engineering the Yo! China brand to create a scalable and profitable model. 


Before joining Moods Hospitality, Mr Mediratta was responsible for re-launching the Kentucky Fried Chicken brand in India and for the role out of the Pizza Hut Delivery . He served as Director of product excellence for the Indian sub-continent at Yum Restaurants International where he contributed on menu engineering, product innovation and supply chain. Prior to that he served as country manager for quality assuranceproduct development and new vendor development in India and Sri Lanka with McDonald's India Pvt. Ltd.

 

Mr Mediratta holds the unique distinction of introducing new products, and localisation concepts, which have contributed significantly to both acceptability and profitability during his association with Yum Restaurants International and McDonald's Over the years he has also been received several awards and accolades.


Basav Mukherjee 


Mr. Mukherjee has been a practitioner of branding, marketing, communications, distribution, and operations of luxury, retail and hospitality brands for the last 15 years. Prior to joining IHC Mr Mukherjee was director of sales for the Mumbai hotels at the Oberoi Group. An alumnus of the Oberoi School of Hotel Management, he spent his formative years in operations, sales and marketing at the Oberoi Group, followed by successful tenure in Barista Coffee where he rose to Head of Marketing. In the past he has also worked with Indian Hotels Company Ltd ("Taj Group") where in his role as general manager of Marketing for Special Projects, Mr Mukherjee launched IndiOne (Ginger), India's first smart basics hotel. He has also served as a brand consultant with Chlorophyll, which is amongst India's best brand consultancy firms.
