Land Update - Carter's Quay, Poole

INLAND is pleased to announce that, having submitted a planning application in September 2011 on its site in Lower Hamworthy, Poole, Dorset the Company has successfully obtained a unanimous resolution to grant planning consent for 268 residential homes and 108,000 sq. ft. of commercial space.

Stephen Wicks, Chief Executive, INLAND commented:

"After extensive negotiations with the Local Authority over many months, we are delighted to have obtained planning permission on this high profile site .  Inland will be the first land owner to kick start the regeneration area in Lower Hamworthy; I am also very pleased that the Chairman of the Poole Planning Committee recognised the investment we have made to get to this point and declared that Inland's planning application is a 'beacon' of how public engagement and consultation should be undertaken."

It is an immense credit to Inland's in-house team and their  external professional planning team who together have worked well and tirelessly together to obtain this consent and we look forward to seeing the regeneration of this important waterside area around the Twin Sails Bridge of Poole unfold for both the local residents and enterprise over the coming years."

Editor's Note:

INLAND identifies land in the South of England where it considers it to hold excellent potential for residential and mixed use development including commercial space.  It then seeks to enhance its land value by obtaining planning permission before selling consented land onto housebuilders. It also develops some of its own plots for private sale.
