INLAND

agrees working partnership on the development

of Wilton Park, Beaconsfield

INLAND is pleased to announce that it is to work with The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), which forms part of the Ministry of Defence, South Bucks District Council (SBDC) and Buckinghamshire County Council (BCC) to formulate a detailed Development Brief for the future of the Defence School of Languages site at Wilton Park, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.  This prime site comprising 90-acres has been identified within SBDC's Core Strategy for a high-quality residentially-led mixed-use scheme.

As previously announced, INLAND has purchased 20-acres of land adjoining Wilton Park.  The Defence School of Languages is shortly to become redundant to the needs of the DIO and INLAND's adjoining land has been identified as fundamental to the delivery of an appropriate means of access off the Pyebush roundabout to the Wilton Park site.

The DIO has agreed a working partnership with INLAND and together with SBDC and BCC, the Company will formulate a Development Brief for the Wilton Park site.  This will also involve extensive public consultation which will give the local community the opportunity to help shape the form of future development on this important site.

Stephen Wicks, Chief Executive, INLAND HOMES plc commented :

"This will be a very exciting new project for the Company and we are delighted to be part of the key team which will create the foundation for the next stage of development for the benefit of the local community.

Our strategic focus in developing large scale sites such as Wilton Park enables us to help shape local communities as well as create long term value for our shareholders."

Paul Brett, Land Director at INLAND HOMES plc, added:

"The INLAND team is delighted to be working with the DIO, South Bucks District Council and Buckinghamshire County Council to formulate the Development Brief on this very important project.

As highly experienced developers with particular expertise in creating new communities on challenging sites, we are looking forward to establishing a very special new neighbourhood that will flourish and integrate well within its sensitive surroundings."

Editor's Note:

Inland Homes plc's strategy is to identify land in the South of England where it considers it to hold excellent potential for residential and mixed use development, including commercial space. The Group then seeks to enhance its land value by obtaining planning permission before selling consented land onto developers. It also looks to develop some of its plots for private sale.
