Under the terms of the deal, Ingenta and Thomson Learning's Gale unit will jointly create a new online subscription service that will be sold by Gale to its thousands of library customers around the world. Ingenta will benefit from revenue sharing arrangements subject to an agreed minimum income in each year covered by the agreement. The new service will integrate access to Ingenta's collection of over 5,400 online scientific, professional and academic journals with thousands of other titles published digitally in Gale's collection of reference databases. To be launched in mid 2002, InfoTrac Plus will be the most comprehensive aggregation of online periodicals available anywhere in the world, covering almost 10,000 publications. InfoTrac Plus will be promoted by Gale's sales force, one of the largest in the library industry, and sold in conjunction with Gale's existing services to its thousands of library customers in over 100 countries. At the same time, Gale's sales force will also promote other Ingenta services, including the Pay-Per-View usage of Ingenta's content and its Specialist Website offering.
