Informa Group PLC gives notice that HSBC Trustee (Jersey) Ltd, 
the trustee to an employee benefit trust established by the Company
for the purposes of incentive plans for employees (including directors) 
has made a market purchase of the following Informa Group Plc ordinary 
shares:

20 March 2000       145544 ordinary shares @ 790p

This purchase was made to meet requirements of the trustee in relation
to options to be awarded under the Informa Group Discretionary Option Plan.

No additional interests arise on the part of the directors by reason 
of these purchases.

Notification in respect of this purchase was received by the Company 
on 20 March 2000.
