Inchcape PLC 25 March 2008 Inchcape plc Appointment of Non-executive Director Inchcape plc ('Inchcape' or 'the Group'), the world's leading car retailer, is pleased to announce the appointment of Graham Pimlott to the Board as a Non- executive Director, from 25 March 2008. Graham Pimlott was, until December 2005, Deputy Chairman of Hammerson plc, a role he had held since 2000, having joined the Board as a Non-executive Director in 1993. He was also Chairman of the Audit Committee. Graham has held a number of Non-executive Directorships including Provident Financial plc and Tesco plc where he spent five years as Senior Independent Non-executive Director. He is a member of the UK Auditing Practices Board. Graham qualified as a solicitor in 1976 with international law firm Lovell White Durrant, becoming a Partner in 1981. He also spent two years as Secretary of the Takeover Panel. In 1986 he moved into investment banking when he joined Kleinwort Benson's Corporate Finance department. In 1989 he moved to BZW as Head of Corporate Finance and over the next ten years held various senior positions at BZW and Barclays Bank plc, including membership of the Group Executive Committee. He retired from the company in 1999. Graham is currently Chairman of Export Credit Guarantee Department.
