Impax Environmental Markets plc announces that on 21 December 2012 it purchased 100,000 of its own ordinary shares in the market at an average price of 99.93p per share. The highest price paid per ordinary share was 101.0p and the lowest price paid was 99.75p.  These shares will be held in Treasury. 

Following this share re-purchase, the Company's issued share capital will be 324,509,373 ordinary shares.  The Company will be holding 53,173,625 of these shares in Treasury.  Therefore, the total number of ordinary shares with voting rights in the Company will be 271,335,748.
