Impax Environmental Markets plc announces that on 24 August 2012 it purchased 1,498,322 of its own ordinary shares in the market at an average price of 95.14p per share. The highest price paid per ordinary share was 96p and the lowest price paid was 95p.  These shares will be held in Treasury. 

Following this share re-purchase, the Company's issued share capital will be 324,509,373 ordinary shares.  The Company will be holding 49,219,625 of these shares in Treasury.  Therefore, the total number of ordinary shares with voting rights in the Company will be 275,289,748.
