Issue of Shares

Further to its announcement earlier today, the Board of Directors of
Impax Environmental Markets plc confirms that the 1,500,000 Ordinary
Shares of 10 pence each, expected to be admitted to trading on the
London Stock Exchange on 22 October 2008, will be issued for cash at
a price of 96.0 pence per Ordinary Share. The Shares will rank pari
passu with existing Ordinary Shares in issue.

Following this issue there will be 305,405,220 Ordinary Shares in
issue.
