New Director Appointment


On 19 December 2007, the Board of Impax Group plc ('Impax' or the 'Company')
announced that BNP Paribas Asset Management ('BNPPAM') had acquired 28.31% of
the Company's issued share capital, giving BNPPAM a total holding of 29.4% of
the Company's issued share capital. In connection with this acquisition Guy de
Froment has been invited to join the Board of Impax effective 17 January 2008.

Guy Jean Marie Noel de Froment, aged 57, is currently a director of BNP Paribas
Asset Management SAS, Shinhan BNP Paribas, BNP Paribas Asset Management SGR, BNP
Paribas Asset Management UK Ltd, Fauchier Partners Management Ltd Guernsey,
Charter Atlantic Corporation (FFTW) U.S., BMCI Gestion, BNP Paribas Asset
Management Argentina SA, BNP Paribas Argentina Asset Management SA, BNP Paribas
Asset Management Uruguay SA, Banco BNP Paribas Brasil SA, Sundaram BNP Paribas
Asset Management Co Ltd, TEB Asset Management and Parvest. In the last five
years he has been a director of BNP Paribas Asset Management Inc, BNP Paribas
Asset Management Japan, S&W BNP Paribas Asset Management and BNL Gestioni.

There is no further information to be disclosed under Schedule 2(g) of the AIM
Rules for Companies.
