Director / PDMR Shareholding

The Company received notification on 29 February 2008 that on 29 February 2008
Ian Simm, Chief Executive of Impax, through his SIPP purchased 29,000 ordinary
shares of 1p each ('Ordinary Shares') of his own shares at a price of 35.5 pence
per share, and 126,000 Ordinary Shares from his wife at a price of 35.5 pence
per share.

Following these transactions Ian Simm and his connected persons own an unchanged
total of 486,261 Ordinary Shares representing 0.44 per cent. of the Company's
issued share capital of 109,499,098 Ordinary Shares.
