IMI plc

Application has been made to The UK Listing Authority and  the
London  Stock  Exchange  for a listing of  3,439,287  Ordinary
shares  of 25p each to trade on the London Stock Exchange  and
to  be admitted to the Official List upon issuance. The shares
shall  rank pari passu with the existing issued shares of  the
Company.
The  listing consists of 101,247 shares issued under  the  IMI
EPS  Scheme, a Block Listing of 1,510,000 shares to be  issued
under  the Executive Share Option (1995) Scheme and a  further
Block Listing of 1,828,040 shares to be issued under the  SAYE
Share Option (1994)   Scheme.
