IDOX subsidiary McLaren Software in US$1.4m contract win

IDOX plc (AIM: IDOX, 'IDOX' or 'the Group'), a leading independent supplier of software and services to the UK public sector and other markets, announced today that its engineering document management and control applications subsidiary McLaren Software will supply its application software suite and related services to Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX) to manage the engineering documentation for their US$40bn Gorgon natural gas project in Western Australia.

Project Gorgon is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and the single largest natural gas project in Australia.  McLaren's Enterprise Engineer will be deployed over four continents to support the Gorgon Project, in a deal worth $1.4m.

About Project Gorgon

Project Gorgon includes the construction of a 15 million tonne per annum (MTPA) Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plant on Barrow Island and a domestic gas plant with the capacity to provide 300 terajoules per day to supply gas to Western Australia. It's estimated that Gorgon LNG sold globally will result in about 45 million tonnes less greenhouse gas emissions per year, the equivalent of taking about two-thirds of all Australian vehicles off the road.

Operated by Chevron, Project Gorgon is a joint venture of the Australian subsidiaries of Chevron (47%), ExxonMobil (25%), Shell (25%), Osaka Gas (1.25%), Tokyo Gas (1%) and Chubu Electric Power Company (0.417%).
